DevOps Engineer and Army Officer in Columbus, Ohio

I'm DevOps Engineer working for IGS and living with my fiance in the best midwestern city in these United States - Columbus, Ohio. I'm also a Signal Officer in the Ohio Army National Guard specializing in radio and digital communications. My background is in system engineering and administration, but I stumbled across the "DevOps craze" and never looked back. I'm passionate about automation, scripting languages, leading soldiers in the service of my country, and UHF/VHF radio communications.

I graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.A. in History from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. When I decided against my early dreams of being a lawyer or a philosophy professor, I committed myself to my life-long love of gadgets, code, and computers. Fortunately, it turns out they translate pretty well into a career.

In what free time I do have, I enjoy continuing my study of philosophy, reading history, indulging in the occasional video game, playing board games and tabletop games, playing ice hockey, cheering for the Blue Jackets, and tinkering with gadgets.
