THE SMART ON HOLD STORY

Growing up in Mackay, Queensland, Australia, I was the middle child to good, hard working parents. Mum always taught me to do my best for people - if I did I’d always get rewarded.

With this in mind I started doing odd jobs for the neighbours and I quickly learnt how to sell myself in only a couple of sentences. After leaving school and working in radio, I saw the incredible power of on hold messages. They could be used to generate sales, build goodwill and boost a brand.

Take our first client with Smart On Hold Options, Cairns Cabinet Works, who are still with us as customers today. Even back in 2003 they saw the extra sales coming through as a result of their on hold messages system. Things took off quickly, and I poured the profits back into the business.
