Naomi Abotossaway

Graduated from Office Administration in June 2015. Graduate of Confederation College from the Native Child and Family Service Worker Program, awarded the Aboriginal Relations Certificate, Aboriginal Youth Achievement Award for Communities, and the Governer's Award from Confederation College. I am now in what one calls semi-retirement; and will just take each day as it presents itself. I have the task of waking up each day with a smile in my heart, and I will only worry about myself from here on in, because no one else will. It is hard to let go at times, but I am sure there are better things ahead of me, and People who respect me and themselves should understand what I am talking about. I respect everything in my world and am Happy at that. Mother of 4 children, and grandmother to 5 grandchildren. I am a Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grand Auntie, because I was one of those child brides. I like to read, write, travel and am interested in photography. I have 5 sisters and 4 brothers who I love dearly and miss them very, very much. I like visiting my family and all my friends, when the opportunity is presented to me, and then again, I just have a knack of dropping in on people. I live in what is the Northern part of the Province and will likely be spending the rest of my live here, unless someone comes into my world who sweeps me off my feet. My favourite things in life is to treat people with respect, and to be patient with everyone. As history and geography are my favourite subjects, one can see why I like to travel and visit. I like to make new friends and stay in touch. Perhaps one day, I might even go into Politics. Another note on me... there were 12 in my family and a total of 14 in the house with mom and dad. I miss those days where we all came home and talked and laughed and enjoyed being with each other. For those who may want to know about me, my maiden name was CYWINK and I grew up in BIRCH ISLAND.
