Nadia Nakai

Nadia Nakai is a South African artist signed to Sid Records and sheer music publishing.

You will know her from featuring in multiple DJ’s Mix tapes most notably 5fm’s DJ C-Live’s “Taste Makers Mix tape” series sponsored by Levi’s, alongside great South African Hip Hop artists such as Tumi & the Volume, AKA, Morale and Kwesta.

Nadia Nakai is working on her First Album under the Sid records Stable. The first single off the album is called “Like Me” Produced by Psyfo.

Her album features the likes of Psyfo, AB crazy, KidX (Cashtime), Dj Captial, Reason, Ifani, Jah Seed, Dot Com and Buffalo Soulja and more.

Nadia Nakai has peformed on Shiz Niz, The Breakfast show, Battle Stations and Back to the City as well as clubs in and around Johannesburg.

She has also been nominated for a South African Hip Hop award for the best female Category in 2012.
Nadia Nakai has been featured on various Hip Hop magazines such as IspeakHipHop and Hypemag.

She has recently shot her first solo music video for her single “Like Me” which is play listed on various music channels on Television.

Having already appeared on Etv’s programme “Shiz Niz” and won their “Mixtape 101” Competition as well as presenting Icon Webisodes interviewing artists like AKA, Reason, Ms Cosmo and DJ Capital, Nadia was the resident MC judge on Sabc1 Show “Battle Stations” which has been re-commissioned for a new Season 3.

She was also the host of one of South Africa's biggest hip hop festivals called back to the city.
