I'm a typically untypical woman made up entirely of contradictions. I love learning every side of an issue though it often causes me to forever live in a 'gray' area having very few concrete and steadfast opinions. I'm a late bloomer and often a few years behind the curve when it comes to doing the 'normal' thing. I studied at the University of Life for four years before enrolling in the University of Regina in 2012 to complete a degree in Political Science. I'm hoping to have lived on every continent (with the exceptions of Antarctica and Australia) before I graduate college in 2016. Realizing the value of narrowing down and specfiying an area of expertise I'm finding it hard to choose among the many topics of social justice (education, prison reform, poverty, family structures and environmental factors) that are so in need of advocacy in every form (financial resources as well as expertise, time, networking and passion). I desire to be invested in work that is dignifying and impactful in the ways it furthers community and international development, decreases privilege, and navigates cross cultural relationships.
