Nadine Appleton

Hi, I’m Nadine . I have been a teacher on the international scene for nearly 20 years. I have worked and live in New Zealand, Korea, Hong Kong and I am currently living the beach life in the Cayman Islands. I am at Cayman International School and I am the K-2 reading support teacher. I work with teachers to help differentiate their instruction and with small groups of students to help boost literacy skills. I have an 11 year old son in middle school and a 9 year old daughter in grade 4. My husband teaches with me and he is the head of the grade 5 team. I am a firm believer that using technology in the classroom can:

• Bring collaboration to a new level in the classroom.
• Augment and transform teacher instruction.
• Create high engagement with our students.
• Allow for inclusion strategies within the classroom.
• Provide powerful teacher tools for sharing learning with parents and the wider community.
