About me:
Nadine has a passion for science education, entrepreneurship, and new scientific developments that change the world. Her curiosity drives her to study life on the smallest level.
Nadine is always looking for creative ways to share her knowledge and connect science to societal developments or fields like art and politics.
This resulted amongst other in guest lectures on synthetic biology at the Royal Academy of Arts The Hague and the co-founding of Biotecture in 2011. Biotecture is a startup for life sciences communication & education that works with leading institutions to bridge the gap between science and society.
In 2012, she came in contact with the Kairos Society, a global community of young changemakers who combine entrepreneurship and innovation to avdance the world. Within her role as president of the Kairos Society in the Netherlands, she inspires young people to combine engineering / science with entrepreneurship and offers them an international network with like minded people.
Currently, she works on the development of a novel drug development platform to screen for anti-tuberculosis drugs within her position as a PhD fellow at the French Institute of Health and Medical Research in Paris.
Nadine is regularly interviewed / asked as a speaker on entrepreneurship, science education or the potential implications of synthetic biology.
