Nadine Reeves

London, ON

I graduated from Fanshawe College’s Office Administration program, and through a Vital People grant from the London Community Foundation, I earned a Communications and Public Relations certificate from Western’s Continuing Ed.

I’ve been a part of the Administration Team at Childreach – a parent resource centre – for the past 12 years. In my work at Childreach, I support the Leadership Team and the Board of Directors, and I represent the organization at the Ending Poverty priority area of the City’s Child & Youth Network. I have also been trained as a Parent Connect Coach. Recently I was appointed the Communication & Marketing Coordinator.

Over the last decade, I’ve been active in the community including volunteering on the Woodland Heights Parent Council and the London Homeless Outreach Network. I also belonged to the committee that helped organize City Symposium – a free monthly event held at the Wolf Performance Hall to highlight Londoners who were making strides in one of three areas: art & culture, social services and academics. For the past three years, I have been a voting member of the London Housing Advisory Committee, and I am now the Chair. I am also a Circles Ally for the City’s Bridges out of Poverty program in which middle-class citizens develop intentional friendships with families living on Ontario Works to increase their social capital. We meet weekly to share a meal and learn about community resources and address barriers that keep people from getting ahead.
