Nadya Columbus is the President of Nova Science Publishers, Inc., an academic publishing firm that she founded with her late husband, Frank Columbus, in the mid-1980s. She now continues the work she and Frank started with her two daughters and a dedicated staff.

Originally from Russia, Nadya attended the State Institute of Foreign Languages in Moscow and earned a degree in English. She went on to work for the Copyright Agency of the USSR (VAAR), where she negotiated and drafted contracts for the academic works of scientists, medical doctors, chess players, and more. It was through this work that she met Frank Columbus and was only a few years before they married and moved to the United States to start a family and Nova Science Publishers.

In her spare time, Nadya loves to read, travel, and listen to classical music.
