Najma Haji

Hi, I’m Najma. I’m a student currently attending the University of Washington-Bothell. I am double majoring in Community Psychology and Health Studies, and I plan on graduating this upcoming June!

I am passionate about and want to pursue a career in mental health counseling, working closely with refugees and immigrant youths. I plan to educate people about mental health and provide them with the necessary information and tools needed for a healthy lifestyle and overall psychological and physical well-being. I also plan to travel around the world and to underdeveloped countries, such as my home country Somalia, and address mental health problems, contribute to research and work with other mental health professionals to come up with solutions and ways to educate people all while being mindful and respectful of their culture(s)

I am a fan of photography, coffee, and music. I’m also interested in food and travel, as well as writing poems and reading mentally stimulating books.
