Japan is known for advanced wood construction technology, including carpentry, design, and mill work. Nakamoto Forestry produces several wood products, and is the world’s largest producer of yakisugi (shou sugi ban) wood. Recently we have expanded our distribution to North America with an inventory in Portland, Oregon. We have four mills operating in Hiroshima and Tokushima producing high-grade and affordable Japanese charred wood products. Nakamoto Forestry owns and has managed large tracts of forests several decades.
