I'm Nakia. Native New Yorker living in New Jersey. Cancer Survivor, free spirit, fabulous mom and House Music Junkie. Tea Drinker and Plant Lover. I have been a stay at home mom for awhile. My professional career was put on hold to deal with my health issues. Before that I worked in The Criminal Justice field, counseling, more on the cognitive therapy side. I write poetry as a hobby mostly Haiku's a verse here and there and some short poems. My blog is on Wordpress where I share my poetry and my journey with Cancer.
