Nakita Alyse Smith, Creative Principal, a product of University of Maryland and Virginia Commonwealth University, is recognized amongst her peers as a publicist, writer and social media manager, and is sought after for end-to-end business management. She is the principle of the all-encompassing Bel Esprit Group, birthed in 2013.

Writing for more than 10 years coupled with her formal education in media and marketing, Smith carved a position for herself as Director of Communications in one of the most sought after salons in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. Under the tutelage of some of the beauty and media industries' giants, she found her niche in public relations and social media. In 2010, she served as Director of Communications and the Assistant Manager concurrently for four years, after only one year as the salon’s Guest Services Coordinator. As her role evolved, Smith soon realized her other passion for organizing and implementing processes to aid in business development and growth. She stepped out of the beauty world to take on other small businesses, organizations, and individuals who were looking for someone to help develop their brand—and succeeded.
In addition to heading The Bel Esprit Group, Nakita is the Director of Communications for SLA Management & Consulting, Creator of Inspired Intellectual, Contributing Writer for Dream for Purpose, and serves as Director of Volunteers for The Cinderella Foundation.
