My favourite quote, "Family: where life begins and love never ends" is my life in a nutshell. I am fourth-year, family-oriented UVic Geography student, and Past Co-President of the Rotaract Club of Victoria. I am currently completing my Honours Thesis in Health Geography, and aim to enter the field of Public Health as my career. I enjoy volunteering, and have been part of Rotaract since 2012 (click on the link to learn more about our very active club). This past summer I took part in a volunteer construction project in Cusco, Peru. This was a fantastic and memorable experience which allowed me to immerse myself in an entirely new culture, as well as further my empathy for less fortunate communities in the developing world.

I am currently employed by Parkwood Court, a Senior's Assisted Living Home, where I am the part-time receptionist and casual Activity Aid Assistant. Prior to this position, I completed three Co-op terms, two with the Canadian Hydrographic Service as a Geomatics Technician, and the third as a Lab Assistant with Natural Resources Canada. My top three strengths in accordance with the Strength Finder assessment are Learner, Discipline, and Responsibility. These traits certainly define my volunteer, professional, and academic work ethic, and are what I will focus on in my future endeavours.

I love spending time outdoors, and staying active via cycling, swimming, hiking, and Wado Kai Karate. Reading, playing piano, Christmas, and watching Friends are a few of my favourite things to do to relax and unwind.

As a family, we often spend time together travelling and playing board games. We all have very different personalities, but we always remember that our differences make us human, while our bond makes us family.
