Nancy Berger
San Gabriel, California
My name is Nancy Berger. I am a teacher and have been in the classroom for 27 years. Crazy!! I currently teach at Wilson Middle School in Glendale, California. Prior to my current assignment, I spent three years teaching Special Ed. then moved on to 6th grade in an elementary school setting for 8 years. Although I absolutely loved teaching elementary school, in 1999 I needed a change and decided to take on middle school. So, for 13 years I taught ELD and English Intervention classes and a few years ago, I switched to teaching computer applications (love it!). I have also been yearbook advisor for the past 15 years. Middle school is the perfect fit for me and I feel fortunate to be a part of a school community that I really enjoy. Wilson is a Title I school with a large ELD population made up of mostly Armenian, Hispanic and Asian students. Over the years, I’ve been a mentor and master teacher, participated in tons of leadership committees and chaired two departments at my school. I returned to school a few years ago and earned my Master’s of Digital Media degree from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania.
In the rest of my life, I especially enjoy spending time with my husband and sweet doggie, Cleo. I'm also the proud aunt of some pretty amazing nieces and nephews and love to be with them whenever possible. I love LA Galaxy soccer and am a season ticket holder. Some of my hobbies include jewelry making, mosaic, graphic design and photography.
