MY PROFESSION—I'm an award-winning author, writer, and workshop leader whose world revolves around the written word.

My fiction books include three Midlife Moxie novels: REINVENTING RITA, FINDING FRAN and MOVING MAGGIE, with TRANSFORMING TESSA coming in May 2026; and four short story collections: THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE, MISTLETOE MAGIC AND OTHER HOLIDAY TALES, TRAVELING LEFT OF CENTER AND OTHER STORIES, and PERIPHERAL VISIONS AND OTHER STORIES

My nonfiction books include THE GIFTS OF CHANGE, RUT-BUSTING BOOK FOR WRITERS, and RUT-BUSTING BOOK FOR AUTHORS

My books have received numerous awards. MOVING MAGGIE is a 2026 Literary Titan Gold Book Award winner and a double winner in the 2025 Firebird Book Awards Competition: Summer Beach Read and Women’s Fiction categories.

REINVENTING RITA was a 2023 International Firebird Book award winner, Bronze award winner in the 2023 Royal Palm Literary Awards (RPLA) competition, and semi-finalist in the Kindle Book Awards

TRAVELING LEFT OF CENTER AND OTHER STORIES was a runner-up in the 2016 Best Indie Book by Shelf Unbound.

PERIPHERAL VISIONS AND OTHER STORIES was a Bronze award winner in the 2020 Foreword INDIES competition, a finalist in the 2021 Eric Hoffer Award competition, a finalist in the 2020 N. N. Light Book Awards – Short Story category, and a second-place winner in the Florida Writers Association 2018 Royal Palm Literary Awards (RPLA) competition.

RUT-BUSTING BOOK FOR AUTHORS was a finalist in both the 2019 American Book Fest competition and the Independent Author Network 2020 Book of the Year as well as a 2019 Readers’ Favorite 5-Star award-winner.

RUT-BUSTING BOOK FOR WRITERS was a 2018 Notable Indie by Shelf Unbound and finalist in the 2018 American Book Fest competition.
