Hello, I'm Nancy Gold the Founding Director of EmpaTheatre.

We organize summer programs for teens to explore the arts in high-quality music, visual, theatre, and performing arts venues. Join us for a summer of self-expression. Some of our lineup for this summer 2013 will include; Beach Poets: a poetry reading series, an open studio, and theatre improvisation.

My early exposure to the Art Institute of Chicago and Chicago Symphony Orchestra set an example of high quality cultural experiences. I learned how to listen to the voice in my heart. Fast forward to an education in the arts, business, and real-world projects. Continuing education from the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Old Town School of Folk Music, and The Open Studio Project.

Effective education in the arts is a central pathway to ensuring that students understand themselves. Students need to understand their capacity for self-expression and creativity and they need to understand their ability to intrepret the world. We have programs that will help them to interpret and understand the world in unique and powerful ways.
