I consider myself a writer and an artist. Life is so full of beauty and amazing things for one to draw inspiration from, if you allow yourself to slow down and take a break from your daily life. That's the problem with so many of us, myself included, we get so wrapped up in our problems that we forget to look at the big picture which is this beautiful place we call home.

Whenever I tell people that I'm writing a book, everyone tells me that I need to start a blog. So here I am. I'm figuring it out as I go.

I'm a dreamer. I firmly believe that every idea, inspiration and thought starts with a dream whether it's one of those deep REM type dreams or a quick little daydream as you stare out the window. Without dreams, the world would quickly become boring. So, I dream... wishful dreams, fantasy, romance. Granted some dreams aren't that great, even nightmarish, but you know what... I think sometimes those dreams come for a reason. Maybe to help us figure something out or perhaps to see what we might be made of.

Okay, enough about dreams and on to me - I won't share my age but I'll tell you that I'm a mother to a teenager. That should give you a good ballpark figure. And a divorced one at that (me I mean, not the teenager). Raising a teenager has been challenging to say the least. I knew it would be a stressful time, but honestly I didn't know just HOW stressful. All those people out there raising teens right now or those who have made it through the process - you guys know exactly what I'm talking about. She's a great kid and I love her to death, but there are times when - OMG I just don't know how I'm going to get through these years. The drama of school, bff's, dating, oh and one that makes me cringe - driving. When I step back and be objective, they can make some amazingly funny stories. The trick is surviving those moments.

Let's see what else... I love walking and running. Staying in shape. I'm an animal lover. I have three cats that share my home with my daughter and I.
