I earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in British and American Literature in 2018. My comparative literature project used painted images to analyze metafiction, literacy, and gender in the 18th and 19th centuries.
I grew up in a library on the edge of a vast desert, which means I stuffed my head full of ideas, and then filled the empty world with them. I'm addicted to stories and the words that make them. I enjoy editing (fiction, dissertations, memoir), technical writing, and copy writing.
I have recently published a very amateur collection of poetry called A Crooked Path, which is available here.
My dissertation, titled La Liseuse: Images of Women Reading in the Long 19th Century, is available on ProQuest.
You can read my religious and social thinking from several years ago on this blog.
