Ms. Conrad is the Founder and Chairman of the Conrad Foundation and an international speaker at industry and academic forums. Her extensive accomplishments as an entrepreneur, innovator and philanthropist have had great influence on the business, science, medicine, and non-profit industries as well as in education. The Conrad Foundation is based on the rich legacy of Ms. Conrad's late husband Pete Conrad, who lived and worked at the Ocean of Storms, Moon for 31 hours in 1969. To put him there took invention, innovation and imagination from a generation that didn't know the word impossible. In an effort to excite the next generation and encourage them to solve the issues that confront us today, Ms. Conrad has created the Spirit of Innovation Awards.
