Nancy Furlotti

Psychotherapist Nancy Furlotti previously served as President of the Philemon Foundation, an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the written work of noted psychologist Carl Gustave Jung, who was an important contemporary of Freud and originated the school of analytical psychology. During her time as president, Nancy Furlotti proved instrumental in bringing about the publication of Jung's Red Book, a text that aroused considerable interest and research amongst the Jungian community. She also served a term as Vice President of the Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism (ARAS), which published The Book of Symbols: Reflections On Archetypal Images.

Nancy Furlotti began her post-secondary education at the University of Colorado, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. During her junior year, she took full advantage of the university's resources to embark on a travel abroad program to the University of Sevilla in Spain and the University of France in Nice. After graduating, she received training from the University of California, Los Angeles, Extension Interior Design Program and studied with the Art Center College of Design and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. In 1987, Nancy Furlotti began graduate studies at Antioch University Los Angeles, where she would go on to earn a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. Later, she earned a Diploma in Analytical Psychology from the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles and is currently a PhD candidate with Saybrook University.

An active contributor to her field, Nancy Furlotti maintains affiliations with a range of professional organizations and societies. These include the C.G. Jung Institute of Colorado, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the Interregional Society of Jungian Analysts, and the International Association for Analytical Psychology.

When not attending to her professional responsibilities, Nancy Furlotti pursues a variety of pastimes including writing, exploring areas of archaeological interest, hiking, and enjoying music.
