Professional Speaker in Canada
Nancy Osborne, CD is the founder of I GOT THIS “Unlocking Your Instincts”. With more than 30 years of experience as a speaker and workshop facilitator she has presented to audiences around the globe from Afghanistan to New York.
In 1975, at the age of 17, Nancy joined the Canadian Forces as a Private and was among the first women in a previously male-only branch. Thus began 40 plus years of being the first – and often – the only woman in some of the biggest boys’ clubs in the world. After 20 years of breaking through the cement ceiling in the military, she retired as a Major.
Subsequently, she was recruited by the United Nations as one of the first women to provide risk analysis, security advice, and access negotiations for humanitarian operations in some of the most dangerous and culturally misogynistic places in the world. She has worked in over 40 countries including Sudan, South Sudan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Haiti. Nancy attributes her many successes to her "I Got This" attitude and listening to her instincts.
In 2016, Nancy retired for the second time and founded I GOT THIS. Over the years, Nancy has developed collaborative tactics to overcome the unique challenges that confront women everywhere. She draws on her experiences and stories to inspire others to make their presence undeniable and their voices resonate.
Nancy lives in rural Canada with her husband and best friend Jay and their scalawag dog Habibi.
