Nancy Stinger

Nancy Stinger is a South Carolina-based coastal painter.

She moved to coastal South Carolina from the northeast a few years ago and fell in love with the low country. "I mostly paint marshes, the ocean, and wildlife. Frankly, I don't think I could live without blue and green paint and combinations thereof."

A retired politician and art teacher, Nancy’s simple but bold landscapes and seascapes are constructed of strong blocks of pure acrylic color, but she also experiments with oil pastels and watercolors. "I strive to create something new from my photographs. I take my art very seriously and am passionate about it. It gives me great joy to have this time in my life where I can devote attention to this passion."
