Nancy Yao Maasbach is an MBA graduate from Yale School of Management, where she learned a lot about strategic management. She also has an AB from Occidental College, further expanding her academic foundation.

Nancy Yao has had a passion for arts and theatre, and her contribution to the field is a testament to her passion. She also became a founding member of the Here and Now Theater Company.

Nancy Yao Maasbach is an extremely talented individual currently serving as a lecturer in Theater Management. She is also known as someone who is accomplished and a true leader in arts and culture. Her dedication and work can be seen in the prestigious position of President she has held at the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) since 2015.

Nancy Yao has been able to actively merge her expertise in organizational management, cultural promotion, and research to reshape the American narrative. Nancy Yao Maasbach is keenly interested in Chinese Americans' historical contributions to the United States. She has been actively working to strengthen the bond between the two communities making it much stronger.
