Nancy Young is Director of the Procurement Capabilities organization for Hewlett-Packard. This critical Global Procurement function is responsible for the development, execution and delivery of global excellence programs such as targeted technical procurement and leadership training, college graduate rotation programs, mentoring, professional certifications and career growth mapping.
An innovative leader, Nancy has repeatedly been chartered to develop new capabilities within Global Procurement that challenge traditional purchasing methodologies and structures. In her most recent role, Nancy was Director of Global Contracts, leading a global organization located in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Her organization was established to enhance and solidify procurement’s contracting proficiency. In that role, Nancy was responsible for driving the development of tools and expertise needed to achieve best-in-class contracting to meet the diverse requirements of a multi-billion dollar global business enterprise. Nancy's organization was also directly accountable for the negotiation of complex legal terms and managed the global partnership between GP and HP's legal function.
Before joining HP, Nancy was a Divisional Vice President for Federated Department Stores, Inc., where she was a product buyer, developed private label merchandise as well as managed several large store operations.
Nancy is a graduate of San Jose State University in California.
