Fernanda Sobreira

I am a student at the Event Management Post Graduate Program at the Humber Business School and I have just finished the Marketing Management Post Graduate Certificate Program at Humber. I also have a B.A. in Advertising.

Since January 2013, I have been part of the Humber Lakeshore Toastmasters Club at Humber College, which helped me improve my public speaking and leadership skills. I am part of the club executive board since February, holding the position of Secretary. In November 2013, I was chosen as the Vice President Public Relations of the club.

I have also worked as a volunteer in special events such as Doors Open Toronto 2013, Reception at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and Scotiabank Nuit Blanche. Working in such events helped me develop interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.

I love to learn about cultures and languages. Other than English, I’m fluent in Portuguese and have basic proficiency in Spanish.
