Nan Thurn Kitchens
Nan Thurn Kitchens has worked as as Architectural Ceramic artist for 14 years. She became a sculptor when she began to work in 3D after painting watercolors for 15 years.
Ceramic architectural work appeals to her desire to work in a larger format and her construction experience from her parent's business.
She has experience in construction, interior design, remodeling, architectural decor, ceramic, wood and metal sculpture.
She teaches workshops in schools instructing students, using cross curricular studies for subject material, to sculpt clay murals that are glazed and fired and permanently installed in the schools.
She has created and installed five large scale sculptures in the Key West International airport completed in 2010.
