I live for putting more ornaments on my tree, where my tree is myself and the ornaments are experiences of all sorts: no ornament is too big, too small, too colorful or too mishapen. The uniquer, the better. The bolder, the better. The riskier, the better. This tree 'aint no Neiman-Marcus-gold-and-silver-bauble one; this tree is decorated with treasures from the Middle East to Asia, from French flea markets to Arabian souks, and from rugged mountain trails to Parisian cobblestone streets. What nourishes this "tree" of mine? Writing. What keeps this tree glowing? Friendships. What makes this tree strong? The truth. Sharing. Caring. Being. Me.
