Hey, I'm Shanti! I've been working with kids for over eight years, and want to do it for the rest of my life. I don't treat this as a mere side job! I take my work seriously, and am constantly striving to better my practice.

I like to be silly, active, and engaging, while also safe, caring, and respectful. I feel just as comfortable putting on fingernail polish and playing house as I do running around and sword fighting. I like going on neighborhood adventures, playing in the dirt, building blanket forts, telling stories, making masks out of cardboard boxes -- stuff like that. I empower kids to lead their own activities and use their imagination.

I'm happy to help out with homework, light cooking, and housework as well. I don't drive, but I'm happy to bike, bus, or walk with kids. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, and I have experience working with families of many diversities.

I generally charge between $12 and $16 per hour, depending on the number of children. I'm willing to be flexible, and I'm open to trade, as well.
