Naomi Browner is the founder and creative force behind Bare Beauty House, an eco-luxe hair and beauty salon based in Manly on Sydney's Northern Beaches. With over 25 years of hairdressing experience across Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom, Naomi has built Bare Beauty House into one of the country's most recognised sustainable salons: a space where premium, results-driven styling meets a genuine commitment to reducing the industry's impact on the environment and the toxic load on its clients.

Naomi's career began at 14 as a Saturday girl at a local salon, where she later returned to complete a four-year apprenticeship. She moved to New York City for two years to gain international experience before returning to Sydney to open her first salon, A Head of the Rest, in Rose Bay, which she ran successfully for six years. During that time she was selected to Matrix Australia's HOT team, helping style more than 100 models across major runway shows. Naomi then relocated to Liverpool in the UK, taking on a Head of Operations role with a multi-salon group, before returning to Australia and founding Bare Beauty House in September 2020.

As a stylist, Naomi is a specialist blonde colourist with a reputation for precision, warmth, and a calm, unhurried chair-side manner. As a business owner, her speciality is elevating everyday salon services into premium, results-driven experiences that build client loyalty and repeat spend. Although her role now sits largely in business development, marketing, team training, and operations, Naomi still works on the salon floor one day a week, a commitment she describes as the part of the week where she gets to relax and simply be a stylist again.

Bare Beauty House was founded in direct response to the waste and chemical exposure Naomi had seen across her career in conventional salons. Every operational decision is made with environmental impact and client well-being in mind. The salon works exclusively with certified B Corp colour brand Davines for hair and with Synergie Skin and Dazzle Dry as the core of its beauty offering, all chosen for their clean formulations and ethical credentials. Waste is recycled through Sustainable Salons, water-saving EcoHeads taps reduce consumption across every basin, and carbon is offset through Greenfleet. The salon also donates hair clippings to ocean oil-spill remediation, runs a worm farm on site, and maintains a street library for the local Manly and Northern Beaches community.

Naomi leads a team of ten across styling, colour, and beauty. She personally oversees team training, researching new techniques and low-tox product lines to ensure Bare Beauty House stays at the forefront of its field. She is deeply involved in HR, culture, and staff development, as well as all marketing, social media, and local partnerships for the salon. Naomi is a current member of the Australian Hairdressing Association.

Naomi's work has been recognised across both the industry and the wider community. In 2024 she was named a finalist for Best Eco Salon at the Australian Hair Industry Awards, one of seven salons selected nationally. Bare Beauty House won Best Beauty Salon at the 2024 Northern Beaches Local Business Awards and was runner-up in 2025. Naomi was also a finalist at the 2024 Australian Women's Small Business Champion Awards. In addition, Naomi and Bare Beauty House have been formally recognised in the NSW Parliament by James Griffin, the Member for Manly, who delivered a community recognition statement addressing the Speaker in the NSW Legislative Assembly, acknowledging the salon's sustainability leadership. The statement is now a permanent part of the parliamentary Hansard record.
