Naretha Hopson is a dynamic leader, speaker, and educator dedicated to shaping the next generation of polished professionals. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Ever-Appropriate Etiquette Institute (EAEI), where she equips students, interns, and emerging professionals with essential skills in business presence, dining confidence, and professional communication.
Since launching EAEI in 2011, Naretha has empowered thousands through engaging leadership development programs. Her expertise is sought by Fortune 100 and 500 companies, universities, and nonprofits, including Wells Fargo, Marriott International, the Regional Business Council, St. Louis University, Washington University, University of Wisconsin, the National Urban League, CAPS Network, and University City School District. Through workshops and training, she prepares individuals for academic, professional, and personal success.
Naretha’s career spans leadership roles in publishing, real estate, and luxury automotive sales. As Assistant Editor for United Media International, she contributed to The Korean American Journal and Beauty Times Magazine. She quickly excelled in competitive industries, breaking barriers for women and emerging professionals.
A 2010 graduate of Focus St. Louis’ Leadership St. Louis program, Naretha has received the Emerson Young Leader’s Award, the Ferguson-Florissant Drum Major for Service Award, and special recognition from the White House for contributions to education and community engagement.
She serves on boards and advisory committees for the St. Louis Art Museum, Urban Sprouts Child Development Center, St. Louis Visionary Awards, Special Friends Extended, and Opera Theatre St. Louis. She is also a member of the Regional Business Council’s Young Professional Network Leadership 100 cohort and Steering Committee.
Demonstrating her passion for arts and culture, Naretha founded The Vanguard Collective, a community exposing underrepresented emerging collectors and future patrons to interactive networking and learning experiences. She also founded Art Sparks, a program inspiring K-12 students to engage with and appreciate the arts.
A passionate advocate for service, empowerment, and excellence, Naretha inspires individuals to step into their full potential with confidence, professionalism, and purpose.
