Narine Manukyan

Narine Manukyan is a PhD student in the Computer Science department at the University of Vermont. She works at the Complex Systems Center at UVM as a research assistant. Her main interests are artificial intelligence, complex networks, modeling complex systems, and data mining. Narine has just completed her MS degree in Computer Science with the thesis topic on: "Improved methods for cluster identification and visualization in high-dimensional data." She has participated in multiple interdisciplinary research projects, working with professionals in health care, geology, and transportation in order to apply her methods to solve problems in these domains. For the next two years Narine will work on a project where Complex Network Analysis is performed to analyze the health outcomes for very low birth-weight infants. She is the recently selected Director of outreach and programs for the Graduate Student Senate. In her spare time, Narine enjoys skiing, rock climbing, swimming, and zumba dancing.
