People in my cluster may look and see,
brown hair, hazel eyes, ivory skin-
but not the real me.

If they only knew that when I’m not
analyzing or presenting a financial decree,
I’m likely dancing ballet
as I have been, since the young age of three.
Or speaking Italian, Azeri, Spanish, and Russian.
I love to learn languages to
engage in discussion.

I grew up in Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia,
Texas and Spain -
this helped me adapt
to our cultural exchange.

I enjoy meeting people of all different cultures,
expand my horizons and gain more exposure,
to their thoughts, ideas, dreams and trials,
especially the secret to making them smile.
