Nichole Seguin

Nichole Seguin currently works as the editor of the Chelsea Standard and Dexter Leader — two Heritage Media newspapers in Washtenaw County, Mich.

As editor, Nichole designs both weekly newspapers, takes photos and videos, writes stories, manages a reporter and freelancers and contributes to regional pieces that are distributed in all of the Heritage Media newspapers. She is also a member of the new Michigan data-driven journalism team, where she contributes graphics, interactive visuals and stories to enterprise pieces shared with all Digital First Media publications in the state.

Nichole takes photos with a Canon 60D and edits and designs using the Adobe Creative Suite.

Nichole is a 2013 graduate of Oakland University, where she studied journalism and art history. While at OU, Nichole also founded the OU chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and created a Muggle Quidditch team.

Nichole is the former Editor-in-Chief of The Oakland Post, the university's independent student newspaper and a former copy editor/paginator at The Oakland Press.
