Lisa is pursuing her second degree, this time in Education. Her first degree is from NMSU in Criminal Justice received in 1993. Her mid to late twenties thru thirties were used as a stay at home mom with her three children, two of which are in high school now. With some luck she will receive her degree before her children.
Lisa is a full time student at NCCU and works full time as a teaching assisstant at Sterling Montessori Academy and Charter School in Morrisville, N.C.. It is this position that brought her to her new educational goals and hopefully a job doing something she really loves.
In the past Lisa has worked as a clinical secretary at WakeMed in Cary, N.C., as a computer operator for a defense contractor at White Sands Missle Range, and as an office manager for a State Farm Insurance Agent.
Outside of school and work, Lisa enjoys fishing, aquaculture with four saltwater tanks and one fresh water tank, snorkling, and Jimmy Buffett.
Lisa is listed as a senior at NCCU due to the amount of credits transferred but still has about two years to go before she finishes.
