Sr Manager - Shakti Engineering Ltd in Dhaka Division, Bangladesh
A. N. M. Nasimunnabi is an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Graduate from United International University (UIU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Currently he is working as Senior Manager at Shakti Engineering Ltd. Shakti Engineering Ltd. is a reputed transformer manufacturing company of Bangladesh, established in 1986 and owned by Cross-world Group. He leads the oil-immersed transformer design team and looks after the business development of electromechanical and substation projects.
Nasimunnabi is actively involved with IEEE since 2013. He is currently serving as the Humanitarian Activity Coordinator of IEEE Bangladesh Section. Prior to this position, he has also served as 2018-2019 Membership Development Coordinator, IEEE Industry Applications Society – Bangladesh Chapter; 2018-19 Program Mentor, IEEE Volunteer Leadership Training (VoLT); 2016 Section Student Representative, IEEE Bangladesh Section; 2015-16 Chair, IEEE UIU Student Branch. He was involved in organizing more than 250 national and international events and conferences for different IEEE organizational units.
He received the prestigious Outstanding SAC Volunteer Award in 2017 from IEEE Asia Pacific Region (R10); Best Student Volunteer Award in 2015 from IEEE Bangladesh Section for extraordinary leadership; Best Student Volunteer Award in 2016 from IEEE Bangladesh Section for outstanding contribution in humanitarian activities. His project Smart Device for Visually Impaired People won the Best Humanitarian Impact Award in 2016 IEEE WIECON-ECE held in Pune, India. He is a Program Graduate (2016) of IEEE Volunteer Leadership Training (VoLT).
