Nasser Kazeminy

Business leader Nasser Kazeminy commands an extensive history as an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Born in Iran, Mr. Kazeminy completed his education in England. Initially entering the workforce as part of the team at Honeywell International Inc., Mr. Kazeminy designed a worldwide information and logistics management system for the company, garnering the attention of Control Data Corporation. Recruited by Control Data to conduct a similar program, Mr. Kazeminy relocated to the United States, accompanied by his wife, Yvonne Kazeminy, and their two small children. Over the course of a successful career with Control Data, he held positions of increasing responsibility in its Peripherals, Education, and Field Logistic Services divisions. During his experience with the Peripherals Group, Mr. Kazeminy noticed a lack of available tax-leveraged, low-cost lease options of peripheral products. Endeavoring to address this gap in the market, Nasser Kazeminy branched off on his own and launched Minneapolis Leasing Corporation. Over the years, he expanded it into one of the largest privately owned computer leasing businesses in the United States. Venturing into the investment sphere, Mr. Kazeminy subsequently founded NJK Holding Corporation. Operating as Chairman of NJK Holding Corporation since its inception 31 years ago, Nasser Kazeminy has acquired and provided funding to a multitude of private businesses across a breadth of industries. His involvement in these enterprises led to the development of hundreds of thousands of jobs worldwide. A dedicated philanthropist focused particularly on humanitarian interests such as health, welfare, and education for children, Mr. Kazeminy supports orphanages across the globe as well as foundations that serve children with health issues. He also helps distressed families immigrate to the United States and secure employment and housing. Additionally, Mr. Kazeminy counsels undergraduate and graduate students seeking guidance in their lives and careers. Nasser Kazeminy’s charitable activities earned him the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 1995, the American Legend Award in 2002, membership into The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (also known simply as The Order of St. John) in 2003, and the HOBY Albert Schweitzer Leadership Award in 2006.
