Philippe Nassif

Philippe Nassif is the regional advocacy director for an international non-profit that works on women's issues in developing countries. He began his organizing and political career working as a fellow on then Senator Barack Obama's campaign in Texas before working for newly elected Houston Mayor Annise Parker during her transition period, helping to establish the first Office of International Communities for the City of Houston. in 2010, Mr. Nassif moved to Washington DC to serve on President Barack Obama's Advance Team. In 2012, Mr. Nassif was hired to work on President Obama's re-election campaign in Florida where he organized diverse groups of people in the critically important Tampa Bay area. After working on President Obama's re-election, he worked on the Presidential Inaugural Committee focusing on minority outreach before relocating back to his native Houston, Texas where he currently resides.
Mr. Nassif serves as an adviser to Latinos on Fast Track (LOFT), and is a member of the Executive Latino Leadership Program at Battleground Texas and is a founding member of the New Leaders Council Houston Chapter. He is also a member of New Leaders Texas, Harris County Young Democrats, The Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and several young professional organizations. Mr. Nassif speaks Arabic and Spanish and lives in The Heights neighborhood of Houston.
