After moving to the UK with my husband in 2006 I floated about a bit, working my way up through a domino' s franchise.
I finally saw the light in 2009 and enrolled in college and got myself sorted learning the basics. Not long after, I got my big break! I took a chance on a commis position at the Manchester airport Hilton. Thanks to the Head chef, Paula O'Neill, seeing something, and the universe only knows what that was, I was on my way.
Shortly after starting at the airport, the traveling circus departed for Liverpool, Paula got the position of exec head chef at the Hilton on the Albert docks. She gave me the opportunity to go with her and 2 of the guys from the airport. I spent 4 years in those kitchens and I learned a lot, by the time I left I was well rounded demi chef/chef De partie.
Nowadays I am a bit of a nomad, gathering experience and wondering from pub to pub.
I am about to start in my new kitchen as CDP at the Sparrowhawk in Formby and I am looking forward to hanging
