Dr. Natalia Bonderenko
businesses and innovation strategist in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Hi! I’m Natalia T. Bonderenko, Ph.D., a Professional Researcher, Business and Innovation Strategist, Business Development Subject Matter Expert, and Professor of Business Administration based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I am proficient in both English and Spanish.
Over the past 10 years, I have distinguished myself through a strong strategic and analytical mindset, enabling me to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and transformation across both private companies and government agencies.
In the private sector, I have opened new markets, identified strategic business opportunities, and contributed to brand growth for companies operating in Puerto Rico and Latin America.
My passion for creating meaningful impact in my home island, Puerto Rico, has deepened significantly over the last several years. As a result, I have served as a researcher and transformational strategist for multiple government entities, including the Governor’s Office, the Department of Family, and the Department of Education. Through this work, I have identified and addressed areas requiring substantial social and economic transformation, particularly in early childhood education and in improving the quality of life for millions of Puerto Ricans with disabilities.
In addition to my experience leading and scaling organizations and supporting public-sector transformation, I am deeply committed to education. This commitment drives my work as a professor and researcher, as well as my ongoing efforts to share applied knowledge in business development with entrepreneurs focused on creating effective local solutions, products, and services for Puerto Rico.
I hold a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Business Development with a concentration in International Business, and I have led more than 20 business education programs across the island in collaboration with government agencies and nonprofit organizations. These initiatives have impacted entrepreneurs from diverse industries, as well as women, farmers, and public housing communities.
I have also served as the principal designer and creator of educational content for these programs, developing practical and results-oriented methodologies for business validation, scaling, and internationalization. One of my most significant contributions has been the creation of the first entrepreneurship education methodology implemented in Head Start and Child Care Centers administered by the Puerto Rico Department of Family.
