I am a Mexican lawyer specializing in International Law and Human Rights. My work, which is focused on drug control policies and the indigenous use of sacred plants. This led me to study traditional medicine and shamanism with indigenous communities for two years. I am currently the coordinator of the Ayahuasca Defense Fund a program of ICEERS (International Centre for Education, Research and Service) and I am pursuing a Master's in Human Rights at Sciences Po Paris where I am exploring the use of psychoactive plants and transitional justice.
