Natalia A. Suarez

I have served on the New Jersey Common Core State Standards Initiative team 2010-2011; I continue working with the National PTA CCSSI team to promote adoption and implementation of the Common Core State Standards at the National level as a trainer. At the annual National PTA Convention held in Orlando, Florida, I presented the CCSSI overview entirely in Spanish, a first for National PTA. I'm also serving as a translator for the CCSSI team in order to allow National PTA to provide the CCSSI materials to the Spanish speaking audience. At a State level, I'm on the Board of Directors for the New Jersey State PTA, serving on their Diversity and CCSSI Committees as well as holding the office of Hudson County Council President. Overall I have been involved in PTA for over 15 years.
