I am a recent Psychology grad from Portland State University of Portland, Oregon. My passion lies within humanity - all people, children or adults, are intricate and need to be addressed as that. This is why working with at - risk youth has become such a big part of my life. At - risk youth tend to be swept under the rug and psychologically dealt with as if they were adults. I currently volunteer with San Diego Youth Services working along side others to help teach leadership skills to Elementary and Middle School students.
While at - risk and incarcerated youth have become such a big part of my life, I try to ensure that I don't let the world harden me. I enjoy trying new things; from watching a boxing match, trying to kick-box, baking, or being part of zombie paintball, staying young at heart, is the optimal goal. I have a bucket list and keep it visible so I am constantly reminded of my individual goals along with my career goals.
