I am an Elementary School Teacher currently living in Nanaimo, BC, Canada. I have worked in various school districts across the province, and am still settling into this new-to-me district. The demographics of this area are different than my previous districts, and I am truly enjoying learning how to adapt my teaching style and philosophy to best meet the needs of my new students and families.

Over my six years of teaching, I have taught at all elementary grade levels, most often as combined classes. Most recently, I have been teaching at the lower-intermediate level, though this year I am teaching a Grade 3/4 combined class and I am loving being back in primary! I have also been fortunate enough to work in various types of school environments and cultures, which has helped me to grow both as a professional teacher and learner.

Outside of education, my interests range from reading to gardening. I am also interested in exploring the outdoors through hiking, camping, and travel. Of course, I can not forget about spending time with my husband and dogs on the beautiful island that we now call home!
