Hi there! I'm Natalie Austin, a Canadian freelance photographer and writer based in the Toronto Area.

From a young age, I loved to capture moments in life through photography. Whether the subjects are light-hearted and happy or sad, serious and gritty, for me photography is a way to offer people a glimpse of the world through my personal lens.

As I gained experience, I discovered that photography was not only a way to share what I see, but that it was also an avenue for story telling. My passion is to document people and things as they are. My second love is writing and I find that combining my two passions is a cathartic way to tell a story. My work crosses the lines between documentary, photojournalism and lifestyle photography.

I am a graduate of the Durham College photography and multimedia design programs. My photographs have been shown as part of exhibitions at the Lonsdale Gallery in Toronto for Holocaust Education week and at the Whitby Station Gallery.

My future aspirations include using my photography to highlight environmental, social and animal rights issues.
