Natalie Fertig

I'm a freelance journalist studying at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism in New York, NY. A Portland native, I honed my photography skills on the streets of the Pacific Northwest as well as world travels to East Asia, South Africa, and Europe.

My undergraduate degree in history gives me a strong reasearch background that I can apply to my growing news writing skills.

While my deepest love is photojournalism, I have extensive experience in videography, and greatly enjoy the timeless art of writing a good news story.

Someday I hope to use my passion for visual storytelling and new media to help expand news consumption among individuals and groups who are historically not consumers of news media.

Also, when I have a photo in National Geographic I can die happy.
