Natalie Morrissey

My Name is Natalie Morrissey and I am from Melbourne Australia. I work for a company called Expanding Learning Horizons as an ICT Curriculum Specialist. I am former primary school teacher who held positions of responsibility including the role of ICT Coordinator. I was responsible for the integration and management of ICT into all aspects of the curriculum and was also responsible for training staff in the use of ICT tools. I managed the maintenance and administration of the ICT Program and ensured all teachers were effectively incorporating this into their planning and teaching. I also oversaw the implementation of a collegial teaching program where I managed and assisted teachers in the operation and use of the Interactive Whiteboards and other technologies in their classrooms. I believe that it is essential for teachers to incorporate technology into their teaching as this is fundamental to student learning in the 21st century. I believe that teachers need to provide students with contemporary learning environments that foster rich experiences and enable meaningful learning opportunities for every student.
