Natalie Knox has devoted 20 years of service to Higher Education. She is the Director of Academic Support Services at Albany State University, Albany, GA. In her position, she provides direction and leadership for a team of 4 full-time and 24 part-time staff members within the office of Academic Support Services for the Math and Writing Centers, Peer and Lead tutors, and Faculty tutors, who assist the university in reaching its goal to help students achieve academic success. During a break from Higher Education, she served as the Personal Professional Development Advisor and Educational Services Officer for the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany. In this role, she was recognized with the 2019 Civilian of the Year Award for her exemplary service and dedication to the Marines and their families. This honor was received due to her ability to increase the awareness of education and training programs, that provide crucial support for Marines as they transition from military to civilian life. Natalie's nature of helping others is further evident in her community involvement, serving on several community programs, including the Lee County Female Minority Mentoring Program, Breathe Easy Dougherty County Tobacco Prevention Coalition, Feeding Homeless: Open Arms, Local School Board Governance Team, Dougherty County School System, and Keep Albany Dougherty Community Clean. Natalie received her bachelor's and master's degree from Albany State University and she is the mother of one young adult daughter.
