Natalie

Hi! My name is Natalie. I'm 18 years old. I've been dancing ballet since I was 3 years old, but I'll be laying off of that soon and moving to Ithaca to study at Cornell University. I'm a tentative English major and I hope to go into literary publishing. I'm not interested in medicine or law or engineering or anything remotely lucrative (not for that reason, just by sheer happenstance). I'm most intrigued by people--I love to think about how many people live in this world and how everybody's story is so unique. In addition to the newfound adventures that college entails, I'll be writing about books, movies, opinions, and anything else that interests me.

I'm crazy about Disneyland and Disney in general, beautiful libraries and bookstores, Marvel movies, Harry Potter, and--most importantly--good food. I describe myself as a social introvert: I like interaction, but I need solitude. In general, I try to keep things simple.

I've toyed with the idea of blogging to catalog my freshman year for a long time. I'm writing because I wish I had been able to "follow" somebody as they went through both the application process and their first year away from home, and I also hope to start writing more regularly. I hope that someone will find my blog inspiring, or at least useful! Come and live vicariously through my freshman experience.
