Nataliia Osmak

My name is Nataliia and my passion is to work with children. For me every child is a small Universe, which is interesting to discover every day.

My first working experience with kids was exciting. In 2015, I was engaged in the work of the Polish non-governmental organization. During that time, I assisted in different projects at schools carried out by them. Our projects with pupils gave me an understanding how it’s important for kids to work in groups, communicate with each other and have freedom in their classrooms. Moreover, I decided to implement this experience in my work with Ukrainian pupils.

In addition, I am getting a lot of inspiration for work with kids from my volunteering experience in Ukrainian NGO “Bokmal”. We organize events for kids where we read aloud with them, share our own stories and make up creative workshops based on the book. Our reading events help to develop kids their skills in critical and creative thinking, socialize with each other and not to be afraid to express their own mind.

Now working at school as a teacher’s assistant, I am trying to implement all of my experience in study process. I know what we learn with pleasure we’ll never forget. I am trying to give tasks which are connected with life. It helps to encourage pupils, to involve them in the process of studying and to set up friendly environment.

I hope this course will give a lot of effective instruments which will help us to make learning journey for kids more practical and interesting.
